The photojournal and portfolio of Nathan Acks.
Every year Len and I take a short vacation around her birthday. For 2018 we decided to spend a couple of days in Telluride, CO. On the way back we stopped by one of my favorite (and I think, under-rated) national parks, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
Photos from the Denver Botanic Garden’s annual orchid show, many of which I tagged for the usual photo contest (though none won).
Photos from the 2017 TPIN Aspen retreat/vacation. The vacation was fun (though I got sick during the second half), but what struck me the most was how little snow was on the ground this year… Far less than I’ve ever seen in December this late in the year.
Nathan Acks lives in the Western United States. Over the years he's worked with a variety of different formats, from disposable point-and-shoot film cameras to high-end digital formats. These days he focuses on pushing the limits of smarrtphone photography.
When not photographing his adventures, Nathan spends his time thinking about the future and working to change the world for the better at a national non-profit.
